Saab is Reborn

It's official production of the 2014 Saab 9-3 has started in Trollhattan, Sweden. They will be powered by a 2.0 liter 220 horsepower turbo 4cylinder. The new 9-3's will be sold in Sweden and China first before being offered in other markets. An electric model is to be introduced next year.

  

Saab Saga Continues

NEVS has purchased the majority of Saabs assets and will be hiring 200 engineers to develop an electric vehicle. The parts for Saab Automobile AB was not part of the deal and the Saab name may still be in negotiation. NEVS (National Electric Vehicle Swedent) is also looking at a deal with Mahinda + Mahinda an Indian company to produce a gas powered 9-3 model for the Indian market. Keep watching for new changes we have a news feed at the top of our blog and also please visit Saabsonline.com  for Saab classifieds.

Will Saab Live On ?

It seems that there are some new potential buyers looking at buying Saab. One buyer has ideas of producing an electric vehicle and there are at least two others from Asia. Even Spyker has been mentioned as starting production of the 9-5.
I hope that parts suppliers will continue offering replacement parts and accessories for all model Saabs for the Saab diehards that plan on keeping their Saabs running for a long time. I use used parts for some repairs but they are not practical except for certain things.

Saab 900 parts car

I have located a 1989 Saab 900 Turbo for parts. It has a good 5 speed and many other good parts. I will start swapping the engine and trans into my 900 conv soon.
